There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.

-- Albert Einstein

Why "The Laundry Line"?

Why the "laundry line"? It's simple really. The laundry line is colorful and full of different shapes and textures. It tells a story about the week gone by, and the people who lived it.The laundry line is a lot like life. It causes you to plan ahead for the weather, to slow down and wait, and to take a big deep breath of fresh smelling fabric.Hanging things on the laundry line takes time, and gives you time to think. You hang it up, and then you wait. It doesn't happen in an instant. Sometimes you get lucky and a breeze comes along to stir things up. Laundry in the breeze moves freely, and flourishes in the sunlight. Sometimes you wait too long, and a cold rain interrupts the drying process. Then you have to either run to the rescue, or wait until the weather evens out again. Either way, hanging things on the laundry line slows you down, and makes you pay attention. And that can't be a bad thing.

The Quotations of Og Mandino

Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.
